Celebration in the Oaks

February 2, 2004

Dear Jared,

Celebration in the Oaks celebrated it's largest year ever. Thanks to donors like you as well as record breaking community attendance, Celebration in the Oaks was able to put on its biggest and brightest show to date.

The board, staff and volunteer committee hope that you were pleased with the public awareness that you received last year through your involvement with Celebration in the Oaks and will choose to renew your commitment in 2004. Your generous support and contribution has provided us with an opportunity to improve our exhibits and special events and still remain and affordable attraction during the holiday season.

This year marks the 18th annual Celebration in the Oaks at City Park. We would like to request that you assist us again by underwriting the Dreyfous Bridge and three bands for the Preview Party for $1,500. Due to your demonstrated interest, we have reserved this exhibit for you until April 1, 2004. Please help us surpass the success of last years event by initializing the enclosed donor form and returning it by mail or fax by that date to confirm your participation. Please note that payment is not due until September 1, 2003.

Once again in exchange for your donation City Park will provide a lighted sign adjacent to the exhibit and prominent listing on all printed materials including 200,000 programs (100,000 copies will be distributed to visitors on the driving and walking tours. 50,000 will be poly-wrapped in the December issue of New Orleans Magazine and 50,000 will be inserted inside a December issue of Gambit.) 14,000 party invitations and 4,500 party programs. You will also receive tickets to the Preview Party scheduled for November 19, 2004 and walking tour tickets in proportion to your donation.

We have also enclosed for your files past promotional materials reflecting your participation 2003.

As you are aware, City Park receives no operating funds from the city and state so it is only with the outpouring of support such as yours that we can provide the New Orleans community and its visitors with this spectacular, affordable 38-day event.

We recognize that you are asked to give to many worthy causes each year and we appreciate and value your consideration. We hope we can count on your continued support.

Sincerely,

Janet Larue

Dear Jared,

We received the two pairs of tickets for the Big Brother and the Holding Co. concert on April 25th at Rosy's Jazz Hall in New Orleans. Your generous gesture is greatly appreciated by the staff and clients of Big Brothers Big Sisters here in Jefferson Davis Parish.

At the time of presentation of these tickets as door prizes, I want to assure you that we will make sure the recipients and the whole crowd know of the upcoming performance and your gift to our agency. Without these types of donations, it would be difficult for us to maintain our level of service to the children of Jennings and the surrounding area.

Please accept our heartfelt appreciation for your thoughtfulness. Also, please utilize this as a receipt for the tickets as a donation with a value of $60.00 to our organization.

Appreciative of your support of Big Brothers Big Sisters, I remain,

Very truly yours,

Marian Fox

French Quarter Festivals, Inc.

Dear Jared,

On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of FQFI, please accept our sincere appreciation for presenting entertainment during the 20th annual French Quarter Festival. Your partnership with FQFI is vital because without your support, it would be all too difficult for our non—profit organization to present the many talented musicians that make French Quarter Festival a true local music showcase.

Our estimates indicate that record-breaking crowds of nearly 350,000 locals and visitors-both national and international—attended FQF 2003, providing tremendous visibility for our entertainment sponsors as well as the sponsored musicians. In the weeks since the festival, we have received numerous letters, e-mails and phone calls with kudos about this year's fabulous entertainment line-up. Your involvement is truly appreciated and we hope you were pleased with your association with FQF 2003.

As promised, your company was listed as a presenting sponsor in 80,000 FQF 2003 event schedules, 5,000 20th Anniversary Commemorative Programs, a Times—PicayuneLagniappe” ad, listings in Gambit, OffBeat, Where Y'at Magazine, and the FQFI Web site, media releases, and a wide variety of newspapers, publications and Web sites. If copies are needed for your records, please let us know and we will be happy to send them to you.

Planning for French Quarter Festival 2004, slated for April 16-18, is already underway. Based on this year's phenomenal success, our expectations for the future are high and we would welcome the opportunity to partner with you once again. We will contact you in early fall regarding your participation, or please feel free to contact us should you wish to discuss possibilities in the interim. We plan to finalize performers by January of 2004.

It was a pleasure working with you again, many thanks for contributing to the success of our 20th anniversary. By actively supporting and promoting our local musicians, you are helping to keep our music alive and ensuring the continuation of French Quarter Festival as a FREE uniquely New Orleans cultural celebration.

Sincerely,

Dear Jared,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of FQFI, Inc., staff, volunteers and everyone involved with the 4th annual Satchmo SummerFest, we thank you for making this year's tribute to Louis Armstrong a tremendous success.

With approximately 46,000 people in attendance, (a record high) your band's performance helped make Satchmo SummerFest a terrific success. Even more importantly, the achievement of this year's event paves the way for future festivals, which proudly showcases our local talent and gives proper tribute to our native son, Louis Armstrong, here in the birthplace and home of jazz. More importantly, it also proves that New Orleanians and visitors alike, acknowledge and appreciate the significance of Armstrong's legacy and impact on his music worldwide.

The success that we received this year has challenged us to strive and make Satchmo SummerFest 2005 even better than this year. To help us prepare better for the future, we hope you'll take a few minutes to complete the enclosed form and let us know your suggestions for improvements. Feel free to write additional comments on the back of the form and return to our office within 10 days of receipt.

Again, thank you for sharing your music with our audiences and for sharing the honor of being part of such a lively celebration of Armstrong's legacy.

Red Beans and Ricely Yours,

Laurie Toups
